Oanteen was first to show in front from Tortulla and Filmen, Kahuwai bringing up the rear. Passing the stand Glen- j aladale led Canteen, BatHeaxe, Palaver, and Ideal. At the mile and a quarter j Gleoalsda'e was sti'l in th"» van, bnt shortly after Palaver joined the leader, Fulmen lying third, and Canteen falling right away. Six furlongs from home Palaver was just heading Gleraladale, Fulmen lyine next, Fashion, Sirius, Tortulla, and Ideal following in that order. Bounding the turn GKn-1 aladale was beaten, and Tortulla took up the raoning. Entering the straight Palaver, Ideal, and Tortulla were in 1 line, just in front of Melwood and Fulmeth At the distance Tortulla headed Palaver, who faded away, and coming on she easily stalled off Melwood and Sirius, winning comfortably by two lengths; Melwood beating Sirius by a head.
