Tbe total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,190,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,530,000 quartern. Bank shares.—Bank of New South Wales, £46; others unchanged. Received 24, 9.17 a.m. London, October 23. Copper, spot L 63 2s 6d; three months L6l 17s 6d. New Zealand wheat cargo ex Gladys sold at 28s. At the tallow auctions 1327 casks were offered and 38 sold at a nominal decline of sixpence. At the Antwerp wool sales 2353 bales of La Plata wool were offered and 12*21 sold. The few merinos offering were strongly competed for. Fine crossbreds were ten centimes and fins lambs' wool five centimes above the Jane sales; coarse crossbreds neglected and unchanged.
