The piece "-,WJ» n the Lamps are Ligb ed," with which Mr. Sheridan is to make his first appearance in this twib; at the Theatre Royal on Saturd iy. evening next, us, although one of the authors, Mr. Geo. R, Sims, is wa'l known in this part of the world as the author of " The Lights o' London," and as collaborator with Mr. Henry Petiitt in " In the Ranks," " Harbour Lights," and so on. ■ The pew piece is e aid . not only to abound in interest, but 10 afford ample scope for the versatility of Mr, Sheridan. The story appears' to bo reminiscent now and again of "The Lights o' London," but the authors are credited with having so carefully fitted in the tiny pieces of dramatic mozaic as to produce an interesting ensemble. " When the Lamps are Lighted " has a plot which, although simple in outline, has many exciting situations, embellished by life-like touches of human nature. Mr. Sheridan is supported by an exceptionally strong company*of musioil and dramatic artists. The box plan is open at; McKinnon Biin's mush warehouse.
