The amount catalogued to date Is 64 689 bales, and soM 53,961; Mooraki clip, 6 l-8d: Ellewlie. 71-B<\ At the kauri gum auotions 2054 oases wart offered, and 1800 sold; generally draw: best three-quarter scraped, ISOs. Canterbury lamb, 4Jd, meat otherwise onchanged. Adelaide and Victorian wheat cargoes sold at about 28s. Wellington, September 23. The Agent-General's cablegram, dated London,2lst, states:— No alteration in mutton market since last week; the quantity going into consumption at present is very small. Lamb market is very weak; prices l-8d T.H.D. lower, and a further drop lo prices of lamb mens la. minent. Beef, dull; New Zealand hinds. 3fd ; foros, 2|d. There is a good demand for butter.
