The Lord Mayor sent a message of profound sympathy to Mr. Choate. King Edward telegraphed to Mr. Ohoate: " I most truly sympathise with the American nation on the loss of their distinguished and ever-to-be-regreitad President." Received 15, 5.24 p.m.
