Miss Josephine Stanton, and the members of her company are due from the Rnuth to dny, and open at the Theatre Royal for threa nigbs, commencing tonight. There hag been a keen demand for peats at the box-office, and there is every prospect of a bumper house to welcome the young Canadian and her American Company, of which all colonial pipers speak so higfcly. This is the first visit of this company to New Plymouth, and considering the highly favourable repu.atiou it has acquired in the colony, it is not surprising that the musical public of this district are looking forward to a treat. Aubers' romantic opera "Fra Diavo'o" is to be| the opening production, with Mr ffenry Halhm in the title rob, and' Miss Stanton as Zerlina (one of her! best parts), so we may well look forward to an enjiyabli time, as she ib an artist of the best repute, and h sup-1 ported by a very powerful combination, carefully selected from the leading American theatres.
