L 5 to L 8 10s; springing heifers. L 5 to 1 G 15s ; 12 to 15months empty heifere,l-2 2s to L2 14s. Sundries and furniture made good prices. At Stratford, on Tnesda}, owing to the heavy rain all cattle advertised did notcome forward and the attendance was not so large as usual. In spite of the weather, however, a f«ir amount of business was done most I lines beingqaitted either at the hammer or priv tely. Young cattle continued in strong demand, but springing heifers were not quite as saleable Mixed yearlings made L2 6s Gd ; steer do, L2 10s; 18 to 20-months heifers, L3to LB *s; springers, L 4 10s; fat cows, 1.5 to L 5 2.i Gd.
