PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. London, July 29. Two men name! George »lias Stephen, claiming to be a Bendigo raiofr, and Charles McKflly were charged at Bow-street with defrauding a widow named Annie Renwick, of Bourke-strtet, Melbourne. Mrs Renwick ip now voyaging to Melbourne, and has promised the police that she will return. She alleges that the prisoners took her and her daughter to Paris and promised marriage. They under various pretexts obtained .£BOO and no marriage resulted. Accused were remanded. Melbourne July 30. The meD Thompson and McMelly, arrested in London, are believed to be identical with two we'l known spnlers. The former was frequently onvic'ed, and the lattor abscondei on hail. The lady's identity is not established.
