THE WRECK OF THE LIZZIE BELL.
* INQUIRY. The Magisterial ecquiry into the wreck of tha Lizzie Bell off Oeo was formally opened at the Court House on Tuesday by Mr R. L. Stanford, bub as only oae nautical assessor, Captain Hood, was present the proceedings were adjourned till to-day at 9.30 to enable Captain Adamson of Auckland, an expert in sailing vessel?, to tike his seat as the other assessor. The Coroner's jury on Friday, in giving their verdict at the inquest on 'he bodies recovered from the wreck, added a rider to the eff.ct " That in censequeoce of the frequent recurrence of wrecks in the locality, a lighthouse idvmld ho erected near the mouth of the Oeo viver."
