Several horses were sold at prices ranging from £5 to £5 15s. j A large quantity of fruit and shelter trees were sold at low prices. I At the Mart fowls made Is to Is lOd; I ducis, Is 7d to 2s; pure-bred fowls, 2s 2d to j 3s 9d; turkeys, 4s 7d. Furniture and sun-1 dri»s made low prices. I Cattle—At Mangorei, on Monday, I held a I clearing sale of Mr Wade's dairy and farm ] stock. There was a good attendance and j good prices were realised for cows and other ! line 9. Cows in milk made £3 lOi to £G. Bpringerj 1.4 15s to L 7 7s t'd; springing heifers, L 5 10a co L 5 15s; yearling heifers, 495; trap horse, Ll6 15s; back, L 5 10s.! Sundries made satisfactory prices. I At Waiwakaiho, on Tuesday, there was rather a small muster. All young cattle met. with strong enquiry,, and nearly every line was sold at the hammer. A good many! springing- heifets were yarded, but most of them were rather small and in backward condition, and consequently did not sell well. I quote weaners, LI Ps to 1.1 10s; calves, to yearlings, LI 13s to LI 18s; good year-. lings, L2 10s 6d ; 18 to 20 months steers, 1 3 10s; 18-inonths heifers, L2 17s 6d; heifers in calf, L 4 to L 4 4s 6d ; springers, L 4 12s 6d to L 4 14s.

On Wednesday, I held a clearing sale on the Junction-road of Mr W. H. Paynter's dairy cows, aud also stere stocK, etc., on account of Messrs W. Paynter aud Sons. In spite of the heavy rain there was a gaod attendance, and the cows, whiih were a nice lot, sold well. Cows in milk made L 5 10s to L 7 ss; springers, L 5 to L 8 ss; aged cows and late calvers L3lss to L 4; Holstein Ball, L 3 12s Bd. On account of Messrs W. Paynter and Sons, 12 to 15 months heifeis made L2 11s; stetrs, L2 15s; one light draught 20-months colt, by Glasgow Willie, Ll9. At Cardiff, on Wednesday, I held a clearing sale on account of Mr. P. James, when in .spite of tbe pouring rain there was a good attendanca. Tlr< oowh were a fair lot, a good proportion baing aged and backward, and under these circumstances sold well. Early calvers made up to-L9 ss; aged and | backward calvers, L 4 to L 5. Ave y choice : line of half-bred Holstein heifers in calf made from L 5 to L 6 Bs.

At Cardiff, on Thwsday, I held a clearing sale on acc unt of Mr. John Watkins. The attendance was not large but those present were mostly bayr-rs. Tne cows werea good lot, bat i nlv in fair condition, a good proportion backward calvers, and considering that no calving dates were available the prices realised were extraordinarily good. Bidtlinz was brisk from start, to finish.
