The usual talk of crenn ries and *epia'ors for next season ontinues. The sjreit drawback is ' no metal.' We had a wadding on the Ist of July on the river. Mr. A. Waters, die local was married to vliss Bessie Brewer, of To.igapo u u. Che Rev. Kawnsley, of Waitara, offici fed. The rev. leman was to ruve pre.ich*d at Mokau and Tongi p rutu on the 30th June, but on account of a sprained ankle could nit come. Howt-ver, ha managed to come ti perform the unrr'age on' the Monday. - . '
the Duke and Duchess have left our shore*. I am not aware how oaany went to see them from this district.
