No judgments were given in the Appeal Court yesterday, but the Bench sat as a Supreme Oouit to hear a motion to quash the granting of a license to the Hotel Commonwealth at New Plymouth. It is understood a committee of the Wellington Oity Council has selected- a site at Ngahauraoga for Municipal abattoirs. The GoYernment have offered the position of Commandant to Major and Brevet Lieut.Oolonel St. George Charles Henry, of the Northumberland Fusiliers, who has had considerable experience in Egypt and South Africa.
