It is timo , that our footballers should know tha* from the spectator's poinh of view the game has degenerated, and has now become a disgusting exhibition of savage brutality, destitute alike of manliness and skill. It is now supported and encouraged chieflv by the p.marfc betting so 1 ; and followed up bv a| pack of the racecourse variety, the vultures that ff er'i uf on the putrid carcase; of our na f ioail sports - lam, e'c., ; | Old Boy.
