The Ngapuhi, which left the breakwater at daylight o<t Saturday morning with over 400 natives on brand, arrived at Onehnoga at 5.30 the same evening, doing the trip by daylight. Gonside- irg the exceedingly dirty weather, the heavy sea and head wind, this was a very smart trip indeed, and shows that the Ngapuhi is a throughly reliable boat. The Rotoiti, which left the Breakwater at 5 o'clock on Sunday morning had nearly 500 natives and a number of Europeans on board.'
