A fair number of spectaVrs attended this match, played on the High School ground. The match resulted in a draw, ' each side scoring three points. The S'ratf >id forwards had the advantage of weight in the scrums, and seamed in j better CJtdit on tban the S:ars. During the last ten minutts of the gami Stratford got on a go„d forward rui-.h and panned i Stiis down in thtir 25's, atid from a soramblo t.ear the lins O'Connor I managed to get over. Collins took the J kick, which provtd abortive. Time was CilleJ shortly after, no further score being registsied. For S'ars Pi'linger played a safe game at full, and Beckett, H imphrifis and George were the pick of the other backp, while of the forwards Ryan and Str /tid showed up best. For Stratford- the most consp'cnous players wtre O'Connor, Collins, Revdl and Moore. Mr. Spurdle held the whistle, giving general satisfaction, and Messrs L, Aben (S:ar) and W. Ford (St-at-ford) actsd as line umpires. TCKAPA V. OLIFION. This mitch was playe 1 at Wai'ara yesterday, and resulted in a win for Tukapa by three points (a try bcjrad by T. Smith) to nil. The game was very evenly contested, and (ought out] to the finish. Dr. Fookei was tbe pick, of tli3 Tukapa backs, pi tying a splendid game, and was well support d by Mynott (five-eighths). Callaghan was Vt-ry safe at full. In the forward division Liveridge, Dwidson, Dwyer and De Laanfty showed up well. For i Clifton, Waitai (three quarter), and De Blois (forward), weie most conspicuous. Mr. Ribinson acted as referee, his de- . cisiors mooting with general approval. FIRST JUNIOR MATCHES. Glif oq 11. forfeited to Tukapi 11. ! INGLEWOOD 11. V. STAR 11. This gam<>, played at Inglewood, re--1 suited in a win for the home team by 7 point* to nil. 1 SECOND JUNIORS. Star 111. v. Tukapa 111., played at the High School ground, resulted in a win foi Stars by 3 points (penalty goal by Pyortf ) to nil. The game was fairly fait throughout Amongst Stars. Jenkinson, Wel'er, and Pyecroft showfcd up well in the buk division, end Ciocker and Bullock in the forwards. For Tukapa Frewin (buck) and Sarten, Car' er, and Inch among the forwards played a gcod gamp. Mr. Spurdl) ftc'ed as ref ro*, and Messrs T. H>-ok (Star) and Petty (Tukapa) as line umpires.
