MONTGOMERY'S BIOSCOPE.
The Theatre Royal should bo crowded on Tuesday next for the opening performance of the above popular company, Mr. Montgomery last year visited all the centres of the world in search of novelties for exhibition in New Zealand. On his travels he saw a machine called the " bioscope," which threw pictures 26 feet wide, and with absolutely no flicker. He at one 3 mgotiated, and now has the only oae in the cilony in good working order. He also arranged with the leading makers ef films in America and England, and now receivrs moathly a consignment of new films. Among the number ta be shown are " Army Life; or, how, Soldiera are made." The-e are the finest niilituy seine 3 ever produced. The Royal navtl series are a revelatien in marine photography, and others equally good are a nilway colli«aion, wonderful diving horses (th'se horses dive from a height of 60 fee*into ■■tank), China and Transvaal 6cones, and the biggest, brightest, and best collection of ma»ic and fun yet thowo. The Queen's funeral will be sho'wn in all its true solemoi'y. Toe Wellington Press state that " thess pictures are the * cleverest and moSt intarns'ing yet shown." The company wish the public to understand that they lave the machine they adv. rtise, and doa't. pretend to have anything else. the films, Mr. Montgomery brings with him anexcelent conceit company of six parformerg. Mr. Percy Jimej, actor vocalist, is a big favourite. Miss Lena Young, contralto, is well-kcown in musical circles. Mr. Ed. Montgomery, popular tenor, will si"g the latest American and London all beautifully illustrated. Mr. Han y Hall, known as " everybody's favour- , ite," as also Mr. E-ig&r Beotlsy, and j Fred Gibson, will appear.
