that the child bad breathed, but the ■Other having ne attendance the infant might have been suffocated. Verdict accordingly. Barbara Cushnie, the mother of the infant, aged 14 years and three months, was then charged with concealment of birth. She pleaded guilty and was remanded to the Supreme Cou> t for sentence, bail being allowed. Johns Woods charged with an offence nnder the Protection of Women law, the above named girl being tha subject, was committed for trial at the Supreme Court. The girl in her i evidence said accused was not the father of tha child.
