Few people ever stop to think, when measuring out a teaspoonful or when buying a pound of tea, of the enormous quantity required to supply the people of New Zealand. A visit to the wharf during the past month would have baen an eye-opener. Nelson, Moate nnd Co,, Limited, receive shipments of tea by almost every steamer from Ceylon and India throughout the year, and have landed, during the last three woeks alone, the huge amount of 300,000 pounds which is enough tea to provido every man, woman and child in New Zealand with 34 cups eich of strong tea. Nelson, Moate and Co., Limited, are the leading tea merchants in the Australasian colonies, a position which they have gained solely by giving the public a really good article.
