These Debentures are Btcared on the Public Revenues of tbe Coleny, and are repayable on tbe Ist April, 1904, at the Treasury, Wellington, New Zealand, or (if tliH tenderer so requests in bis tender) at the office of the Agent-General for Mew Zealand in London.
Dividend! represented by couponi attached to the debentures, will be payable on the Ist April and the Ist October in each year during the currency of the Loan, at the Cashiers Office, Treaenry, Wellington, ,pr at any branch of the Bank cf Hew Zealand in New Zealand, or (if the debentures are inued repayable in London) at the office of the Agent-General for New Zealand In London.
At the option of the holder ef any debenture issued repayable in New Zealand, and on application made in that behalf at the Treasury, Wellington, Mew Zealand, he may at any time during its currency have it endorsed payable, both as to principal and interest, at the office of the Agent-General for New Zealand, Louden, oratauy specified branch of the Bank ef New Zealand in Austrail* Prnnirlf rhor. in tlin («»m» ra>. rV» endorsement shall not be le?s than three months and in the latter case net less thai one month, before the due date of tha next ensuing payment of interest. The first interest coupon will be payable on the Ist October, 1901, and will be for a sum equal to six months' interest on the nominal amount of the Debenture. The issue price will be at the rate of £IOO in money for every £IOO expressed ii debentures (below which no tender will be accepted), payable as follows: — Deposit of 5 per cent, en application. First instalment of 45 percent, on Tuesday, 7th Hay, 1901, Second instalment of 60 per cent, on Tnerffly, 4th Juse, 1901. Payments may be made in fall at any time os or after the 7th Hay, 1901, and prior to the 4th Jane, 1901, at a discount at the rate of one peund ten shillings per centum per annum. Sealed tenders, addressed to the Secretary to the Treasury, Government Buildings, Wellington, accompanied with the S per cent, deposit, will be received up to Neon of TUESDAY, 23rd April, 1901, when they will be opened in the presence of the Colonial Treasurer and the Controller and AuditorGeneral, and allotment will forthwith be made. If cheques are lodged with a tender they must be drawa upon a Bank in Wellington, and be marked by such Bank as " good " for fourteen days. Cheques issued by a Bank need not be so marked. Tenders may be for the whole or any part of the Loan, and must state what amount of money will be given for every £IOO ef the Debentures tendered for. Tenders mast be for even hundreds of pounds sterling, and at prices which are multiples of sixpence. Tenders at different prices must be en separate forms. The nominal amount of Debentares tendered for must be written on the outside of the Tender. In case of default in the payment ef any instalment at its proper date, the deposit and instalment (if any) previously paid will [bo liable to forfeiture. If no allotment is made the deposit will be returned. The first and seeond instalments may be raid at any branch ef the Bank of New Zealand either in the Colony of Australia, to the credit of the Public Account, or at the Treasury. Wellington, not later than the several dates previously mentioned. Scrip Certificates will be issued, to be subsequently exchanged for the Debenture Bends. Tenders must be on printed forms, which may be obtained at the Cashier's Office, Treasury, Wellington, or at the offices ef the Bank of New Zealand at Bydnev, Melbourne, Auckland, Wellington, Obristchurch, or Dunedin. ELECTION OF SCHOOL COMMITTEES. ANNUAL MEETING OP HOUSEHOLDERS. THE Annual Meeting of Householders for the election of School Committees will be held in the several School Districts, at the places stated below, onMONDAY, ipril 22nd at the hour of 7 p.m., for the purpose of electing duly nominated persons as Members of School Committees for the ensuing year, as provided by Section 5 of "The School Committee's Election Act, 1891. The numberfof persons to be elected for each district is as follows: Pukearuhe, Tongaporutu, Mangorel, Hui rangi, Tarata, Huiro», Ngariki Road, Whangamamona, Hurford Road, Tataraimaka, Waihi, Ratapiko, Uruti, Tututawa, Tahara. PuDgarehu, Matau, and Pohokura, each five persons. The election to ba held in the respective schoolhoases. Rowan Road, Mahoe, Opunake, Carrfngton Road, Durham Road, Eltham Road, Oaonui, Ranotu, Okato, Frankley Road, Fitzroy, Bell Waitara, Tikorangi, Urenoi, Lepperton, Eaimata, Tariki Road, Midhirst, Balis-
bnry Road, Stanley Road, Pembroke Eoad, Toko, Ngaire, Bird Road, Cardiff, Kent Road, Omata, Oakura, Kaiauai, Denbigh Road, Egmont Village, Huiakama, Wares and Dudley Eoad, each seven (7) persons. The election to be held in the respective schoolhonses. Kent Boad election to be held in the Lower Kent Road Schoolhouse; Bell, in the Bell Block Schoolhouse.
New Plymouth, Inglowood, and Stratford each nine (9) persons. New Plymouth election to bo held in the Town Hall, New Plymouth; Inglewood election to be held in the Schoolhouse, Inglewood. Btratlord election to be held in the Scboolhouse, Stratford.
Nomination of Candidates. Householders of the various School Die tricts are hereby requested to send in to the Chairman of the School Committee in their District the names of persons, being Resident Householders, nominated by them to serve on the Oommittes for the ensuing term. The nominations must be in writing signed by the proposer and candidate, and sent to the Chairman of the School Committee on or before MONDAY, April 15th, 1901, not er than 8 p.m. Nominations may also be made at the Meetings of Householders to be held on MONDAY, April 22nd, 1901. The first meeting of each of the newly elected Committees for the appointment of Chairman is hereby convened at the above named places immediately after the elections. By order of the Board.
