MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
Auckland.—Dr. J. L, Campbell and Mr. D, Arkell nominated for the mayoralty. Well ngton City.—J. W. Atkis and Thos. M. Milford nominated fer the mayoralty. There are 25 candidates foa 12 seats ob the Council. Melrose. Jas. Reid, Geo. Frost, Goo. Baylis, and Arthur Fulford, fer mayoralty, and 18 for the Council. Karori, Jas. Henderson and F. DcL»onald for mayoralty, and 14 for the Ceuncil, Napier. McKay and C?rnell for mayoralty and 25 for the 12 seats on the Council. Invereargill. Horace Basting*, Chss. Liquet, and F. G. Stone, ion the mayoralty. Timaru. Ore. Melnto.b and Mc-I Nab for the mayoralty.
Christchurch.—Mr. A. E. G. Rhodes has been returned as mayor unopposed.
