BEWLEY Sc GRIFFITHS' SHARE REPORT.

The various exchanges been closed for the greater part of the week, business in all shares has been restricted. There has beetwitendency to decline in Fire Insurance on account of the heavy losses that the Fire Insurance Companies have lately experienced. National Bank shares show an upward tendency and Bank ef New Zealand are steady at LI 10s. In quarti mu ing, the W&ihi Extended and Waihi Consols hare been largely dealt in s.t advnneod prices, the development of the Grau f Junctiou continuing to improve. Monowai's also have seen a fuither advance to bsyers at 2s 7d, ore assaying £260 per ton being taken from the No. 3 level. Weßt Coast dredging shows an upward tendency, the prospects of nearly all the Companies operating showing a distinct improvement. In nearly every case aßy deficiency in returns has been due to the nnsuitability of the dredge and not to the want of gold in the claim operated on.
