BPUCIAL MIXTURKb can be made at iny time to suit farmers. Note—The " M " Manure gave the best results in proportion to cost out of 19 experiments with Champion Swede Turnips at the Government Experimental F,»rm at Momohaki in 1897 (see page 170, Fifth Report of Agricultural Department) : The experiments made at Momohaki with various Manures upon Turnips in the Season 1898-99 show that ilio BtfST result was obtained from a mixture of one-third Bteamed bono diut and two-thirda basic slag (Thomas' Phoßp'iato), whilst the bett result, at a minimum cost, was from a fixture of one-tliird I.awes' Superphosphate and twc.thirds of th'i vV.M E Go's "M ' Manure. The latter mixture contains the same components as rh« W,M jJ, Co. s No. 3 Mixture, the proportions oeing a little different. The former combination point* o the fact, now generally recognised, that the value of batio slag, also known as Thomas' Phosphate, has been greatly under-estimated. The W.M.E. Co.'s No. 4 Mixture contains one-third of Thomas' Phosphate. A perusal of the report of Mr, Gillanders, the manager at Momohaki, embodying the results of the experiments referred to, which will be found in the B»ventH Report of the Department* of Agriculture, wonld amply repay any farmer who finds a diffioulty in <el«cting the most suitable manures THI OOMPASY?
