Th* d. coral ions, in tartt fulness and beauty, surpassed all former years. On Menday idt>ht tho annual social and sale was held, the Rev. J. H. White in the chair. The attendance was large, irdfpd n surprise to all when the weather out of doors was taken into account. If it had been fine weather tho CJiurch would have been all too small. Tl'ira was a good musical programme, songs by Messrs. McMillan, Sumner, Minear, Pinder, and Herbert, tho Mioses Lea and Brown (these ladies also giving us a very beautiful duet); Ibeu we had recitations by Mr. Ashley und Mifs Grace Humphries and readies by Mr. Roebuck and Miss White. l'he disposal of the produce was quickly made, Mr. Roebuck with his usual vein mcl good humour. The proceeds of ■■his ynars services will be a contribucf neirty £9 to the coast district )a'accf-shet)t. Tho wonder is that nth so heavy a down pour such a «uoo«s was attained, and it speaks well >ir the growing strength ef the Methodfta in the district.
