The ganio commenced ►•urly, and a long and most enjoyable day was spsnfc over the friendly cantost. The courts were in fair order, considering that they had not been used this sra-on bofore. Without t going ink! dotsils, I may give the following summary of the play : Men's Singles, Stratford Gl Oponake 60 Men's Doubles „ 26 „ 32 Ladies' Singles „ i! 3 23 Ladies' Doubles „ IS „ 10 Com. Doubles „ y2 „ 23 Total „ mo „ 148 Stratford won by 12 games. Manaia hopfs to meet the OpunakePihama team again on Saturday next on the Opunake ground this time. It .8 anticipated they will bring up a strong t?am to regain the lauro's which Opunake wrested fora them last week.
