VALUE OF THK AUSTRALIAN CONTINGENT. (FOB PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received 6, 11.11 a.m. London, March 5. In the House of Commons Captain Pretyman, one of the civil Lords of the Admiralty, explaining the vote for tha Australian Contingent iu China declared their services had proved most valuable and were highly appraciated, and their gallantry was always conspicuous. James Daly, member for Monaghan South, remarked that the fstct that oaly six hundred ceuld be picked up at street corners shoved the colonies wore out of sympathy with Great Britain. The vote was passed by 235 to 67. Mr. J. 0.
