Before leavin -, Colonel Wyndham wrote the Premier expressing his heartfelt tbaDks for the magnificent hospitality which the Imperial representative troops bad received at the hands of the people of New Zealand, and asking Mr. Seddon to convey to the Mayors of the cities through which they had passed bis warmest thanks for the splendid reception.
