Freeholds were granted to : —J. Eatcok, sections 16 and 17, block 14, Cape; J. A and J. 0. A. Staunch, section 3, block 14, Waitara; H. Hodge, section 4, blook 13, Opaku; £. M. Murley, soction 16, block 2, Upptsr Waitara.
The Rangor reported on the value of the building, ujarhintry, etc-., of the creamery fa section 13, Mangaehu Village. The land is to be put up for sale with other sections in tbe village for cash at an upset price of £l2, ' weighted with £4OO for improvements. Mrs. E. J. Ooombridge's explanation re erection of hoa«e on section 12, block 111, Opnoake, was accepted.
The action of the Commissioner in granting the use of the honse on section 8, block 1, Mimi, to F. Bedford at Is per week was confirmed. Permission was pven to O. K. McCutchen to grant timber rights over sections 1 and 2, bl.ick 13, Pouitu, to i Messrs. Spencer, the royalty of 3d po> 100 ruper feet to be paid to the Boat il's Receiver and credited bs rent.
Similar eonsent was given to T. Joyce in respect of eeetione 37, block 13 and 38, block 14, Pouatu, and on the same terms.
Three months extension of exemption from residence on section 14, block 7, Ng lire, was gi anted to J. W. Walsh. Proposals for expenditure of thirds were approved as submitted by tn> Parihaka lload Board (£123 18* iOd) and Okato R-ad Board (£49 10s). P. Toohey was granted aa extension of time for improvements on sections 1, I block 5, and 3, block 6, Pouatu.
Leases were ordered (o be issued as submitted by the Commissioner. On reading the Rauger's report on section 3, block 9, Ngatimii.ru, it was decided wot to open it for sale at present.
The Commissioner submitted a sketch of the proposed landing si to at Putikituma applied for by Messrs. Hatriek and Co. fcr th>ir steamer traffic, and of the proposed tramway resfirve.
Mr. B>slap moved that the Poard ia of opinion that s f eps should be at oec9 taken to construct the tramway and to obtain the aecessary phnt foi working the same, and that Messrs.
