The Melbourne Government to-day are said to have received a cable from the Government of Canada stating tba as four Australian Governments have granted a concession to the Eastern Extension Cabin Company fer connection with the Cape cable tbey washed their hands entirely off the Pacific cable.
Mr. Turner handed in his resignation m State Premier, and advised that Mr. Pfacock be sent for to re-couatruct the Ministry.
Mr. Peacock waits upon tho Lieut, Governor to-mo"row.
