(PEB MESS association.] Wellington, January 111. The Postmaster General leaves for the south to-morrow, and will lay the foundation stone of the new post office at Ashburton on Monday. He will also bo present at the reception at Dunedin, to the troopers by the Orient It is his intention to return to Wellington by the Orient, and travel thence to Auckland by the treopship Cornwall, so as to bid farewoll to tho Sixth Contingent.
