PBR PUES3 ASSOCIATION. Wellinqtok, January 16. The stewards of the Wellington Racing Club having determined to cut tho telegraph communication oil' from the course at tho uting next week, Mr. Ward now say-, that the Department having established the service which is used by tho public and newspapers, he will take steps to have communication with the course maintained. Wellington, January 16 A meeting of old resident# of the Canterbury Provincial District was held to-night, the Hon. W. C. Walker presiding. It was decided to fori an association for the maintenance of social intercourse between the members. A committee was appointed to carry out the preliminary arrangements.
