SPECIAL POTATO MANURE£S peji ton. KAINITj! The addition of a small proportion of Kainit to any of the Mixture is an advantage, and can be mode without extra charge if specified by the purchasers when {giving the order. MIXING The Manures are not mixed until the orders are sent out, and purchasers at theii option can have the original manures s»nt to them in tho maker's bags, and make the mixtures themselves. SPKCIAL MIXTURES can ba made at any time to suit farmers. Note—The " id " Manure gave the beßt results in proportion to cost out of 19 experiments with Champion Swede Turnips »t the Government Experimental Farm at Momohaki in 1897 (see page 170, Fifth , Repoit of Agricultural Department) : I The experirneits made at Momohaki j with various Manures upon Turnips in the Season 1898-99 show that ihe B»sr result was obtansd f torn a mixture of one-'.hird stsflme-t bone dut*i and two-tnirdi basic siag (Thomas' I Mi-rap 1 ! ate), whilst the best re;u!t, at a minimum cos", was from a a jcture of one-third Lawes' Superphosphate and two-thirclß of the W. M K Co's "M ' Manure. The latter mixture contains the same components as the W.hi £. No. 3 Mixture, tfte proportions oeing a little different. The former combination points o the fact, now generally recognised, that the value of baric slag, also known as Thomas' Phosphate, has been greatly under-estimated. The VV.M.E. Co.'B No. 4 Mixture contains one-third of Thomas' Phosphate. A perusal of the report of Mr. (-inlanders, the manager at Momohaki, embodying the results of the experiments refsrred to, which will be found in the Seventh Roporb of tha Department, of Agriculture, wotld amply repay any farmer who finds a difficulty* Jin *electirjg',cho most suitable manures.
