[PBB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHaisrcHuuoH, December 9. The body found on the New Brighton beach in now identified as that of A. L. Whelan, a shearer, Melbourne, who arrived here from Du nedha by, the Te Anau on November 24th. Ho stayed at the Railway'••Hotel ftp -to Tuesday last, and was not seen again [after dinner. Tho police.are,still engaged searching the sandhills and beach for the boots and' s?o!r, which were l missing. Deceased is supposed to have friends at Tnveiwgill.
