Being in danger of being driven on akore, anchors were let go, bat feefare they brought the vessel up she was within 50 yards ■of the cliffij. Boats were got in readiness, and as the vessel began to drag aim farther in shore, Ospfafn Savident and the crew left the Vessel to her fate, and taking to the Jraats, niade for the island. After a meat trying experience a landing was tj&eted, all getting ashore in a more «r Ism exhausted state. Some tttse Jater the wind suddenly changed, blow-1 ing off land, and the deserted vessel Cjojosmeaoed to drift away from her jerßous position. Seeing a chance of •wring her, Captain Savident and the «rew put off from the shore again and Iwardedthe vessel.
