Mr. Watt's resignation as Postmsster-General has been accepted. Parliament meets on November 12th, until whea the actual state of parties is doubtful. Brisbane, November^. In the Assembly it was announced that sines July last 2369 male and 1585 female immigrants bare been brought out, including 700 foreigners. Recognising the possible restriction of labour in the near future, the Government has instructed the Agent-General te restrict emigration at present. Members alleged that Queensland had spent £750,000 in bringing out immigrants. Stdhit, November 3. The warship Pylades baa arrived from the Islands. She visited Samoa with a monument to the British and 'American sailors who fell in the war. The unveiling ceremony was attended by the orews ef the Pylades and the American cruiser Aberanda, and prominent residents, and was very impressive.
