Lord Roberts reports that a party of Boers entered Jaggersfontein en the night of the 16th. The British had nine killed and two mortally wounded, while the Boert lost their commandant and twenty men killed. GENERAL FRENCH PROMOTED. Received 21, 6.7 p.m. ; London, Ootober 20.
