THE WESTRALIAN BUDGET.
[PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Perth, October 10. The Budget statement shows the revenue for the past year to have been! £2,875,000 and the expenditure £2,615,000; £14,000 was spent in despatching troops to South Africa, and a further £15,000 will be asked for;' representation at the Paris Exhibition cost £30,000. The Treasurer estimated the revenue of the current year at £2,912,000, and the expenditure £2,904,000. Sir John Forrest announced that he had not decided whether he would seek re-election, but he would ask early in the year to be relieved of office.
