AUCKLAND RAILWAY VOTES.

PBB PRESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, Ootober 5. At a conference of the Main Trunk Railway League and the North Auckland Railway League, held to-night, it was decided to amalgamate the two leagues for the purpose of obtaining the completiou of the Main Trunk Railway between Wellington and the I far north. The advisability of calling an indignation meeting to protest against the railway votes was considered, but it was decided inadvisable to call such a meeting at this stage of the session. It was also resolved that the leagues publish a strong protest against the unfair allocation of the Public Works Funds so far as the North island Main Trunk Lino from Wellington to the far north is concerned.
