At a meeting of the Hospital and Charitablo Aid Board reference was' made to the report of the Premier's speeoh on - tho second reading of the Industrial Schools Hill, wherein he blamed the Board and cried shame on i'i for permitting the conduct of the Stoke School to continue, .according to tho Press Associatioa report, it was unininxously resolved that this Boird considers the Premier's remarks unjust and uncalled for, and considers them unwarrantable coining from the Premier of the colony; also that a copy of the resolution be forwarded to the Premier. The Chairman, Mr. Rout, said their action had led to a sacrifice of friendships and business, and involved great mental strain. He resented the Premier's remarks very strongly. At this meeting a complaint that sick persons were not admitted to the hospital, was referred to a subcommittee to report on.
