I'ALMERSTON INBTITUTH V TUKAI'A a. Tiibbk was a large attendanoe at the Uccieation Grounds on Thursday afternoon to witness the above match. The game was not brilliant, though the play at times was oxciting. Iu the firet spell, after throo miuutoa' pl&y, Orombie secured a mark, and J. Merey placed a neat goal. The play for the remainder of the spell wu mostly ia favour of Tukapa. * n 'j l ® »«ond spell Tukapa more than held their own, and from a mark Power kicked a magnificent goal from very nearly half-way. Toward* the finish of the game the visitors prested hard, but were unable ts soore. The game thus ended ia a via for Tukapt by 8 points to nil. Mr. S. Humphries was a most impartial referee.
