SPECIAL POTATO MANURE£S PBB TON. KAINITI The addition of a small proportion of Kainit to any of the Mixture is an ad rentage, and can be made without extra charge if specified by the pachasers when piving the order., MIXING The Manures are not mixed until the orders are sent out, and purchasers at theif option can have the original manures a ant to them in the maker's nags, and nuke the mixtures themselves. SPECIAL MIXTURES can be made at any time to suit farmers. Note—The "M " Manure gave i. best results in proportion to cost ont of 19 experiments with Champion Swede Turnips at the Government Experimental Farm at Momohaki in 1897 (see page 170, Fifth Reoort of Agricultural Department) The experiments made at Momohaki with various Manures upon Turnips in the Season 1898-99 Bhow that the bist result was obtained from a mixture of one-third steamed bone duit and two-third* basis il; (Thoma*' Phosphate), whilst the belt emit, at a minimum cost, was from a mixture of one-third Lawes* Superphosphate and two-thirds of tho W.M.E. Go's "M " Manure. The latter mixture contains the same components as the W.M.E. Co.'s No. 3 Mixture, the proportions being a little different. The former combination points to the fact, .now generally recognised , hat the value of batio slag, also know as Thomas' Phosphate, has been greatly under-estimated. The W.M.E. Jo.'sN 4 Mixture contains one-third of Thoma Phosphate. A perusal of the retort Mr. Gillanders, the manager at Horn oki, embodying the results of the experi snts referred to, which will be found n the Seventh Report of the Departm nt, of Agriculture; wonld amply repay any farmer who finds a difficulty in selectingche most suitable manures.
