Prices for those j at profit ringed from L 4 to L 7 5s each. Store cattle of all classes sold freely, grown , steers in fresh condition bringing from L 5 to L 6 each; diy cows, L 3to L 4. Fat and young calves were short of requirements, and were better worth—fresh dropped, 3s to 8s each; medium, 10s to 15s; heavy, up to L2 10s. Fat cattle were yarded in average , numbers, and nearly all of first-class quality, were at late values, bringing from LI to LI 3s per 1001b. for steers and heifers; agod cows, 16s to 19a—240 sold. Prices for steers were from L 6 10s to LlO 12s fid each; cows, . L 4 5s to L 7 15s. Fat sheep were in leßs ; than usual numbers, and were in demand, ' wethers bringing from 18s to LI Is 3d each for heavy weights; lighter sorts, 15s to 17s; \ ewes, 13s to 16s; hoggets, 93 6d to 12s Gd. ; Bpring lambs were short of supply, and sold ' freely from 14s 9d to 16s 9d each.
