GENERAL BULLBR'S CASUALTIES. NATIVE HOSTILITY TO THE BOERS. (Received 7, 9.5 a.m.) London, September 6. Since August 26th, General Bailer's casualties have totalled 270, The Boers lost many more. The natives of the Lydenburg district threaten to prevent General Botha crossing the Steelpoort River. Already they are looting the Boer cattle.
i GENERAL lAN HAMILTON MAKING A WIDE TURNING MOVEMENT. THE BOERS PREPARING TO RETREAT. Received 8,0.30 p.m. London, September 7. General lan Hamilton is executing a wide turning movement, threatening Lydenburg from the souih-west. The Boers are removing their stores thence to Pilgrims Best.
