ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
[PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, September 3,
William P. Hill, a railway porter, was killed at Helensville station while shanting. One leg was cut off, and & wheel passed over his stomach. He was only 18 years of age. Jeremiah Harrington, aged 23, a stoker on H,M S. Pcrpoi-e, ft 11 from a third storey window at the Thames Hotel, He was removed to the hospital, where be died. It is supposed he wa9 walking in bis sleep.
