The Legislative Assembly passed a Bill providing for the reinstatement of public servants serving in South Africa, the time epant in the war to count in regard to promotions and retiring allowances. A special meeting of the A.M.F. policy holders decided by a large majority against the proposal to adjourn 'he meeting fixed for to-morrow to consider the extension proposals till 10th October, Hobaut, July 26. Arrived: Karamea, from London. Shs sailed for Wellington at 10 o'clock to-night. Forty-three passengers landed here, and 104 are proceeding to New Zealand,
