♦ - HEAVY LIST OF CASUALTIES. [PEE PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Received 26, 9.30 a.m. London, July 25, During the siege of Kumassi, 1000 of the besieged died of starvation and disease, 1000 fled, and 300 of those who accompanied Governor Hodgson were killed.
