■• —-—- (PROM OUII OWN COHUESPONDENT.) The recent wet weather has almost isolated this part of the coast. The Mimi liiver has overflowed its baaks and washed away the main road for miles. The road was re-drained and "re-formed last summer at a great expense by the Government, and now it lias gone to the sea. The same thing will occur every time there is a fresh in the river. There was but a small fiusli this time, and when a large one comes tne settlers will have to look to the sea for an outlet. On dil that a small steamer is going ■o run here once a month or of tenor should the trade warrant it. Our prusoiit cutter is too slow—behind the agfc al:ogocher—once a quarter. It is said that a second store will be built shortly, and it has also been whisper* d that not a fuw of the bachelor fanners i.ro going 10 t*kn titoemsulves partners, S puators are getting much talked about,, which certainly gives s m.) colour to the latter report.
