AMBUdIIKD, BUT REFUSE TO SUKIIENDER. (Received 9, 5.30 p.m.) Capetown, July 8. While pa-rolling at Pirespoort, seven Vi r.oriani were ambushed, but refused 5o surrender. Two escaped. One was shot in thg leg, but took refuge behind a stone, and colly kept on fhiog till a Bo.u' crept bohiud and shot him in the head. Corporal Whelan, Troopers Finlay, Ramsay, Francis, Dureanj David, and Bradford were not wounded, but wera taken prisoners.
