Ai a meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Hug by Union, correspondence was read from the Taranaki Union in reference to the case o( a player named Mumby, who was last year disqualified for professionalism at the instance of that body. The Taranaki Union now Bought u uave tile disqualification removed, holding that a year's disqualification was ample to meet the case. It was hvl i chat the disqualification of a player must be for life, and therefore the union had no power to rescind the sentence previously passed by it. The Taranaki Union also submitted an appeal on behalf of the Star Club against the decision of that union in disqualifying two players for alleged mitcoLduct which took place after the Star-Tukapa match. It was decided to iwait further p-uticulars in regard to : tho matter berore coming to a final decision. The following will represent Tukapa 11. v.
