Owing to a great public outcry in consequence of the death of nine soldiers from sunstroke at Aldershot, Lord Wolseley has ordered that helmets shall replace forage caps on hot days. When the crew were warn out with fighting the flames, and were about to give in, a big wave came aboard and quenched the fire.
