... > BELIEF FORCE ENTERS KXFMASSJ. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) (Received 15, 10.10 a.m.) London, June 14. A great deficiency of rations and ammunition exists at Eumassi. The Governor and Lady Hodgson were reported safe on the 4tk inst. Captain Maguire, of the local Ktunassi forces, is dead, and Major Morris wounded. Major A. H. Morris, of the Gold Coast Constabulary, with 700 native troops, marching from the north, entered Kumassi with assistance. Tbe garrison are now acting on the defensive.
